6. Public Opinion Poll on Election Issues in Georgia -2006 March
   In Tbilisi, on March 30, 2006 the International Society for Fair Elections and Democracy (ISFED) and
   Georgian Opinion Research Business International (GORBI) presented results of a survey conducted with
   citizens of Georgia on election issues. The goal of Public Opinion Poll was to study citizens’ attitudes towards elections, particularly citizens’ attitudes regarding election issues prior to local self-government elections.
   It is significant to underline that according to the results of the survey a strong majority of respondents said that taking part in elections is crucial. In spite of some mistrust of election authorities a majority of the respondents express their intention to participate in upcoming local self-government elections, saying they believe that their vote matters.
