The Georgian Opinion Research Business International, (GORBI) is the oldest and most established market and opinion research organization in Georgia. GORBI as an organization was first established by Mr. Merab Pachulia and Mr. Gordon Heald, UK citizen, and Director of Opinion Research Business, UK (www.opinion.co.uk ).
GORBI maintains a solid and independent reputation in Georgia and internationally for its unmatched research standards. Since its inception in 1991, GORBI has refined its techniques and broadened its scope of work to become the foremost survey research organization in Georgia.
Our work is often cited in major print media, including The Financial Times, The Economist, The New York Times, The Los Angeles Times, and Newsweek, as well as major television networks.

Since its inception GORBI has aimed to work within broader Geographic areas, and starting from 1992, surveys conducted for international clients covered Caucasus (Armenia, Azerbaijan and Georgia), as well as Central Asia (Turkmenistan, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Uzbekistan, Tajikistan and Ukraine). In Eastern Europe, Moldova and Belarus, GORBI works with partner research firms in these countries that we have long standing and successful business relationships.
Management of multi-country projects includes sending GORBI’s key project persons to train local field staff, supervise on-going field activities and provided constant process monitoring of data collection and entry at GORBI’s headquarters office in Tbilisi, the capital city of Georgia.
GORBI has also conducted surveys in Mongolia (among business leaders) and in Iraq, among Georgian troops (2008).
